In our forest plantations, we foster and watch over the growth of our trees, and only fell them when they are practically at the end of their natural life. Immediately after felling we regenerate the forest, replanting it with new specimens.
Proof of our commitment is the PEFC Certificate for Sustainable Forest Management, which attests to environmentally-friendly forestry activities that constitute the basis for the industry’s future. This Certificate guarantees the origin of the wood and its treatment in accordance with practices that conform to a series of norms laid down with the aim of protecting the environment.

Wood is everything at ASTIGARRAGA Kit line. It is our raw material, but it is also our finished product and our image in our customers’ eyes.
For this reason, we monitor everything from the planting of pino insignis saplings in our forests to the final presentation of the product, including all the in-between phases in a process that is the basis of our exceptional quality and the best guarantee we can offer our end customers.
FROM TRUNK TO PLANK: TOP-QUALITY RAW MATERIAL.
Taking nature into account means integrating environmental concerns into our processes.
At ASTIGARRAGA, the felling of trees in controlled forests is compensated by replanting. Trunks selected for their optimum growth are sent directly to our saw mills, where they are turned into uniform planks ready for machining.
This is the basis of our ready-to-assemble furniture collection, made only with the very best SOLID WOOD.

We have the very latest technological facilities for carrying out all the high-precision machining processes required by our products.
Staining and varnishing:
We offer a wide variety of colours and finishes, applied during the course of an environmentally-friendly process designed to minimise our impact on nature.
Our furniture stands our on the market due to the long life of its finishes, a durability obtained thanks to the high quality of the varnishes used and the number of layers applied.

Packaging and storing:
Once they have passed our quality controls, our products are packed in flat packets in order to make optimum use of all available space, and are then sent to our computerised warehouses until dispatched to their final destination.
